IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE WITH STORIES FROM JUNE 2018: A group of hunters and Bigfoot enthusiasts go out looking for the elusive creature – but what they find is even more bizarre than anyone might have expected. (The Ultimate Monstrous Thought-Form) *** No one really thinks about it, but cops are usually one of the most credible witnesses to paranormal phenomena. Police officers are trained observers and usually will make better witnesses than a civilian. But even our brave men and women in blue can be terrified into a shade of white. (Police and the Paranormal) *** A bizarre phenomenon that manages to teeter where the lines of Bigfoot, Werewolves, the paranormal, and urban legend intersect, takes things deeper into the strange with various reports that suggest these beings utilize the mental power of telepathy as well. We’ll look into some of the creepy encounters with the Dogman. (Bizarre Encounters With Telepathic Dogmen)

IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE WITH STORIES FROM JUNE 2018: In parts of Africa it’s not the werewolf you need to look out for, but the were-hyena… and it’s almost always the local blacksmith that is the man behind the monster. (Lesser Known Morphing Monsters: The Shape-Shifter Hyena) *** Does the Vatican have a device that allows them to see in the past and the future? Some believe they do. And if it were to ever fall into the wrong hands, it could then create the “scariest dictatorship the world has ever seen.” (The Vatican’s Chronovisor) *** Some fathers will do whatever it takes to protect the virtue of their daughters. One man’s solution came at the end of an ax blade. (The Linville Murderer) *** A man believes the creature in his nightmares may be trying to speak with him. (Spirit Communicating Through My Dreams) *** A young girl is surprised to find the Easter Bunny visit her in the middle of the night. But many years later she learns it wasn’t either of her parents. (Easter Bunny Creeper) *** The stories range from the being inbred cretins running amok, to government created mutants, to escaped hydrocephalic patients from an insane asylum. What are the strange creatures people are seeing in the deep woods of Ohio? (Strange Encounters With The Bizarre Melonheads)

IN THIS EPISODE: It’s #ThrillerThursday and this week I have a novelette from my collect of Alfred Hitchcock Presents books. This one comes from the book, “Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories Not For The Nervous” published in 1965. However, the story I’ll be telling tonight, “The Abominable History of the Man with Copper Fingers,” was originally published in 1928 in a collection of stories by Dorothy L. Sayers called “Lord Peter Views the Body” – with each story in that anthology centering around the character of Lord Peter Windsor.

IN THIS EPISODE: The spooklight phenomenon caused panic in a small Missouri community in the late 1800s – frightening many to the point of moving their family away. And today, the Joplin Spooklight is still a mystery that remains unsolved despite appearing several times a year. (The Mysterious Missouri Spooklights) *** Based on its name alone, you’d think the Gympie-Gympie plant is small, cute, and harmless. In reality, it’s one of the most dangerous plants in the world – and you’ll want to stay as far from it as possible. (The Deadly Gympie-Gympie) *** We’ll end the broadcast with one of the strangest funerals you’ve likely ever heard! (Polly Wanna Tombstone) *** But first… John Brennan Crutchley was no ordinary rapist and murderer. He added vampirism into his modus operandi. (The True Story of the Vampire Rapist)

HOUR ONE: The creature had dark or black skin covered in masses of “skin or fins” that looked like algae growing all over its body.  It seemed to have gills or matted hair that looked like gills on its face and head; two yellow eyes leered out from under a prominent forehead.  That’s the description one witness had for the thing in City Park, New Orleans. (The City Park Thing) *** Anyone who knew the little family before that July day would say that one thing was certain, Vernon Plager loved his wife and daughter more than anything.  But then Paul Reed moved to the neighborhood, and it led to more than just a broken marriage… it led to murder. (Wrapped in Ivy) *** The moose is said to be a ghostly white and a giant of stature and weight, antlers bigger than any other moose ever seen. Considered a harbinger of doom, it was first reported in 1891… but has been seen as recently as 2002. Could this giant, ghostly moose at Lobster Lake, North Dakota actually have existed – or still exist? (The Specter Moose of Lobster Lake) *** For the citizens of Brabant Province, Belgium, the era of the Brabant Killers, left behind traumatic wounds that have never really healed. Making matters worse is the fact that the killers were never brought to justice. (The Killers of Brabant) *** These stories and more in this episode!

IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE WITH STORIES FROM JUNE 2018: For years the doctors couldn’t figure out why Wally was coughing so much, why his skin cracked and bled, turning the bedsheets red. They prescribed ointments, antibiotics, decongestants, pain killers. His guts ached for years, too, and even morphine didn’t help the pain. He died a wraith, 73 years old. The government says it has no idea what happened to him, but then that’s because he worked in Area 51. (Area 51 Killed My Husband) *** Two accounts of Bigfoot are reported from Illinois. But these aren’t your typical sightings. They take place in the middle of the night, possibly inside a dream. In fact, they aren’t described as Bigfoot – but as a wookie, like Chewbacca from Star Wars. But then, how do you explain the accounts being exactly the same from two complete strangers? (Wookies In Illinois) *** I’ll be sharing a short sample from the upcoming audiobook “Into Darkness” by Jason R. Davis. My patrons can hear entire chapters from chapter one through to the end as I record them. (Into Darkness – sample) *** Peter Stumpp was arrested accused of being an "insatiable bloodsucker” - which, in 1589, meant he was being accused of being a werewolf. Even stranger… Peter readily admitted to being one. (The Man Who Went On Trial For Being a Werewolf)

IN THIS DARKIVE EPISODE WITH STORIES FROM JUNE 2018: Love, infidelity, greed, and murder. True events that led to a best-selling book called “Blood and Money”. (Blood, Money, and Dr. John Hill) *** The lighthouse at Eilean Mor was unmanned. The clock on the wall had stopped, no fire was in the grate (nor had one been there for a few days), there was a meal sitting at the table. It looked like someone had set it down with the intention of eating it soon, but it was untouched. Whatever had happened to the men, it had happened to them suddenly. How could three men simply keeping watch over a lighthouse suddenly disappear without a trace? (The Missing Lighthouse Keepers) *** Heidi Wyrick’s experiences with the paranormal world started when she was just three years old, when Heidi developed an imaginary friend. The ghost of an old man appeared in her backyard, beckoning Heidi to play with him on the swings. (The Haunting of Heidi Wyrick) *** An angry spirit tries to physically harm a child with broken glass – and on the same night, it terrorizes the child’s mother in another room. (Shattered Glass and a Creepy Little Girl) *** An abandoned city in Cuyahoga Valley fuels local urban legends about a chemical spill and murderous Satanists. Welcome to Helltown, Ohio. (Helltown Lives Up To Its Name) *** There are places on this planet that are so feared that people don’t have the courage to visit them. Strange stories of mysterious lights, unexplained sightings and vanishings can be so horrifying that fear wins over curiosity to explore the unknown. (The Valley No One Dares Enter)
