  • Beatrice Sparks "Go Ask Alice" & "Jay's Journal" (Creepy "NON" Fiction Writer)
    What a Creep
    Season 21, Episode 3
Beatrice Sparks (Go Ask Alice & Jay’s Journal)

In the 1970s & 1980s--entertainment designed to reach teenagers (and cure them of society’s ills) fell to YA writers, TV Movies, and “After School Specials.” One of the most compelling stories was the subject of 1971’s Go Ask Alice.

Based supposedly on the true story of a teen girl who delved into drugs and ultimately lost her life, it was designed to scare the audience, and the 1973 film cemented its importance as a tool for communicating between generations.

Beatrice Sparks billed herself as an adolescent psychology expert with an uncanny ability to write stories based on true-life journals and in-person interview sessions (thousands, she claimed.) But how true were her supposed nonfiction works?

    Season 21, Episode 2
The AMPTP and the Hollywood Strike
    (Support Union Labor!)

The writers' and actors’ guilds are on strike. While movie and television studios have earned record profits, the workers who make those profits possible are not getting their fair share.

So, let’s talk about it. This episode will be a little different than our usual episode. We will explain who the players are, what the strike is about, and why we should be supporting it because the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are the creeps in this situation.

    Anthony Pellicano“Creepy Hollywood PI!”

Today’s episode gives you the world of underground Hollywood creepiness of the 1980s & 19990s variety. (Hint--for $25,000, he will bend A LOT of rules and laws to help your cause.)

Here we talk about his unusual career, why he ended up being sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, and who enabled him to succeed as long as he did.

  • Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. & Modern "Debate" Culture
    What a Creep
    Season 20, Episode 9
Robert Kennedy Jr., Chief Misinformation Artist

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is running for President here in the U.S. and is the oldest son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, who was assisted while running for President in 1963. His upbringing was chaotic, and he was known as a “late bloomer” by finding meaning as an environmental activist in the late 1980s. (He had spent much of his teens and twenties having issues with drugs and alcohol.)

After helping to save the Hudson River in New York, he took his ivy league education and gross entitlement as a rich white guy from a famous family to go after vaccines and the false claims they cause autism. Though his position has been discredited MANY times over the last 20+ years--he won’t stop spreading his ill-conceived talking points and bullshit and recently spent over three hours on the Joe Rogan podcast talking about the dangers of WIFI, vaccines, and how HIV and AIDS are not related. This guy is not just a loon--he is giving shelter to COVID deniers and Q-Anon lunatics.

Buckle up, everyone; the misinformation train is running off the rails!

    What a CreepSeason 20, Episode 7
George Washington and the Tale of Ona Judge

George Washington is the “Father of Our Country” and one of American history's most revered Founding Fathers. We heard tales of how brave he was and that he could not tell a lie. He also famously refused to create a fiefdom with the office of President, which means we are not stuck with someone in office unless they are duly elected.

Like many white people of his time, he enslaved people. This is a fact, and though not unusual in his peer group--it's not a great look for a person who is enshrined all across the United States. People want to downplay his racism and evil acts. Listening to Bill Maher and Elon Musk minimize his actions made us realize we need to dive into one of the first President’s most heinous acts by talking about badass Ona Judge. An enslaved woman who escaped from the President’s home and remained free despite his relentless pursuit of her.

This woman is an American hero whom everyone who truly believes in liberty and freedom needs to learn about and memorialize her contribution to history.
