In this episode of Locked on Capitals Dan is once again joined by Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Washington as they talk about this seasons Capitals team and ultimately what is their identity? The beat the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night 5-1 and lost to that very same team Sunday night by a score of 6-3. How can things change so drastically in just a couple of days. The only change in the lineup was Connor McMichael for Nick Aube-Kubel.

Later in the show they talk about how the Capitals are looking for their enforcer. Tom Wilson and will be out until between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Who will raise and take on that challenge. It seems like a lot of teams are pushing around the Caps without Tom Wilson on the ice.

In this episode they also talk about the contributions of Darcy Kuemper and Charlie Lindgren on this team. The Caps were inconsistent in net last year but have solidified that position this year. Now they need that consistency throughout their lineup.
