In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about what TJ Oshie's thoughts were on the Caps poor performance against the Golden Knights. ""Mentally we were not sharp at all. We play a good team, that’s what happens when you’re mentally not sharp," Oshie said. "It can be nights when maybe your legs aren’t going, you’re not getting bounces, but if you’re still mentally sharp on those days, you’re still playing within our system, you’re playing the correct way, you’re not turning pucks over. We weren’t doing any of those things tonight.” How do the Caps fix these issues before their next game against the Avalanche.
Later in the show Dan talks about what is the Capitals biggest need before the trade deadline? It's Dan's belief that the Caps are in a good position with forwards and goalies. The biggest need is a depth defenseman to help solidify the blue line in John Carlson's absence. The Caps don't have a lof of cap space so don't expect any big moves.
