Summertime is a cheat code for self care, because all the activities we’ve been doing for our self care can be done outside. Here are 5 activities to consider in your summertime self care routine.
Festivals – music festivals, art festivals, food festivals, wine festivals, beer festivals. They are great because there’s usually entertainment, vendors and food. You can take the kids, a lot of them have kid friendly events or you can do it as date night, OR you can do it with friends.
…in the Park – so many cities have “in the park events” so there’s music in the park, crafts in the park, dance in the park, movies in the park. Again, great activities you can do with the entire family or just your spouse, or friends, or with your parents. Very versatile.
Take your normal activities outside – Yoga, stretching, workout, meditation, intentional breathing – get up and do it outside. Do your journaling, outside. Write yourself an appreciation letter, outside. Cook outside, eat outside.
amusement Parks, Theme Parks, Water Parks. - The whole family can be involved or limit it to just the gals, however you’d like to do it.
Family trip to an established area – When you establish a place – your family vacation spot. It takes the edge off. It becomes more of a second home.
