With the New Year of 2023 still sinking in, we wanted to look at the AAA affiliate for the Red Sox which is located in the heart of the Commonwealth in Worcester. Jake Ignaszewski is joined by WooSox play by play broadcaster Tyler Murray and they reflect on last season while also looking forward to this next season. Iggy and Tyler begin by talking about the NHL Winter Classic and Fenway Park and give their reactions to the Bruins player wearing old-school Red Sox uniforms. Tyler then gives his thoughts and reaction to how the offseason has played out thus far for the Red Sox and Xander Bogaerts departure. On the subject of Bogaerts, he gives his assessment of Enmanuel Valdez and shares his thoughts on if Valdez could be a replacement for Bogaerts.
With the number of pitchers that made an appearance on the big-league squad that came from Worcester, Tyler shares which pitcher fans should keep an eye on and explains how the WooSox coaching staff contributes a lot to the player's development.
Outside of working for the WooSox, Tyler has also worked for 8 years in the Blue Jays organization with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Dunedin Blue Jays. With his experience with the WooSox and watching the Portland Sea Dogs for years, Tyler break downs how he's seen the Red Sox farm system evolve over the past few years.
Lastly, Tyler shares what excites him about the Red Sox and WooSox seasons as well as his favorite game he called this season and much more.
