In this episode of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about 5 teams that made the biggest moves in the off season and if those moves put them in a good position to win.
The Carolina Hurricanes who finished great last season made more moves to bolster their lineup by adding Brent Burns and Max Pacioretty
The Detroit Red Wings who have not been great for the last several years seem to be positioning themselves to be a lot better this year and adding David Perron, Andrew Copp and Dominik Kubalik Ben Chiarot and Olli Maatta. Will those moves help the Red Wings return to their winning ways
The Ottawa Senators who also haven't been good for some time seem like they're really poised to make a push with their recent acquisitions.Alex DeBrincat, Tim Stützle and Drake Batherson, Claude Giroux and Cam Talbot should definitely help them in their pursuit to be contenders
The Seattle Kraken who didn't live up to their expectation and compassion to the Vegas Golden Knights hope to turn that around this year after the addition of highly-touted prospect Shane Wright, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Philipp Grubauer and winger Jaden Schwartz.
And last but not least the Washington Capitals. The Capitals who had consistency issues in net all season signed Stanley Cup winner Darcy Kuemper and up and coming netminder Charlie Lindgren. Brian Maclellan wasn't done yet though as he went out and singer Dylan Strome, Connor Brown, and Erik Gustafsson. Hopefully those moves will help the Capitals get past the first round of the playoffs.
