In this edition of Locked On Capitals Dan talks about the outstanding play of Darcy Kuemper. To say the Caps were inconsistent in net last year would be an understatement. In the off season Brian Maclellan signed the biggest name goalie on the free agent market Darcy Kuemper. In his most recent outing Kuemper made 34 stops Saturday in Nashville to shut out the Predators, despite T.J. Oshie and John Carlson exiting in the first period with lower-body injuries.

“He was our best player,” Lars Eller said. “He was crucial for us. It was one of his best games of the year, for sure. He was our best penalty killer, as well. Really good game from him.”

Later in the show Dan talks about the myriad of injuries facing the Caps. Connor Brown who was signed in the off season to fill the void for Tom Wilson is now also injured. What does that mean for this Capitals team?
