I have received criticism for being overly transparent about my processes and procedures, which may come as a surprise to some considering the traditional notion that accountants sell their knowledge. However, as I've progressed in my career, I've come to realize that many others offer similar services. What truly sets professionals apart is the customer experience they provide.

 

It is crucial not to shy away from sharing your processes and systems, as long as you have confidence in the exceptional customer experience you offer. In fact, openly discussing your methods can demonstrate your expertise and build trust with clients. By emphasizing the unique value you bring through your approach and the positive outcomes it delivers, you differentiate yourself from the competition.
