When trying to understand nihilism holistically, we run into some problems. The first is that the concept is ambiguous. It can refer to a lack of belief or ideology, and it can also refer to this lack of ideology as an ideology. That’s the difference between someone being disillusioned and rejecting a belief system and someone choosing to embrace nothingness as a belief system.
