One of my favorite quotes of all time is, "Planning is everything, the plan means nothing." attributed to Dwight Eisenhower. I've used it here on the podcast and in my courses to signify the importance of planning + strategizing, even when the plan could change without warning.

At the beginning of our recent vacation, this became even more evident. Today, I'm telling you the story of how last minute travel changes had less of an effect on us because we spent so much time in planning mode.
