Ezra Klein, founder of Vox and host of The Ezra Klein Show, joins the show for a two-part episode to discuss his new book Why We're Polarized.  In this first episode, we discuss the history behind our increasingly polarized politics, how the US differs from other countries' patterns, and why the two main parties have responded differently to polarization.

In Part 2, we'll discuss the implications of increasing polarization on the current Democratic primary race, Ezra's thoughts on the Neoliberal Project, and whether reshaping our institutions or our identities is a better path towards a healthier politics.  Stay tuned!
