On Feb. 25, the leader of Canada's New Democratic Party will either finally claim a seat on parliament or, well, bust. The Burnaby South B.C. byelection is a victory that should be fairly easy for Singh, but the past few weeks have featured some memorable missteps from the man who, just 16 months ago, became Canada's first visible minority party leader and seemed like a rising political star.

So how did Jagmeet Singh end up facing questions of whether he should resign if he can't win this election? What does he have to do to change the narrative before the vote and, if he wins, heading into this fall's election? With Justin Trudeau's Liberals taking on new scandals weekly, and the right side of the political spectrum possibly fractured between Maxime Bernier and Andrew Scheer, is this an opportunity for the NDP? If it is, do they know what to do with it?
