In this week's edition: the ICC drops its case against William Ruto; priceless manuscripts are returned to Spain; and an Angolan mask is returned home. Kenya's deputy president sees the International Criminal Court drop crimes against humanity charges brought against him. William Ruto had been accused of orchestrating deadly post-electoral violence in 2007.

Also, some of the priceless Timbuktu manuscripts are finally back in Spain more than 500 years after they left. In one of history's ironies, though religious intolerance forced the documents to be smuggled out of Toledo, similar extremism has sent parts of the precious collection out of Africa and back to Europe.

And a long-lost monarch has been returned to Angolan hands. A 19th century mask that was looted from the country's Dundo Museum in the last century has been officially handed over to the Angolan embassy after being tracked down by art historians on the hunt for missing pieces of the continent's heritage.
