In this episode we try to find wines to celebrate Christmas 2023. Trent cooked a Christmas ham, a roast chicken (intended to be the Christmas turkey), and some prawns. Our challenge was to each find wines that pair with these dishes for Christmas. Jason chose a 2020 Yeringberg Viognier, Yarra Valley, VIC ($56 from Summer Hill Wine Shop). Trent chose a 2021 Domaine Du Bois De L’oise Moulin-A-Vent, Cru Du Beaujolais ($40 from Dan Murphy’s). In this episode Trent also gives Jason a surprise Christmas gift, Jason presents some Christmas gift ideas to see if Trent would like any, and Trent mentions what he has been drinking lately - a 2022 Noon Eclipse, McLaren Vale, SA. Trent also includes a bonus round - mulled wine to celebrate Christmas.
