1. President Trump's retribution campaign reaches a new and ominous level, with the indictment last night of a man Trump considers a "political enemy." A grand jury handed down two indictments against former FBI Director James Comey. One charge of making a false statement to Congress and one obstruction charge. Both charges related to testimony he gave in Congress. While departing the White House today, President Trump said he thinks more charges will come. In a new video posted to Instagram, Comey says he's innocent. The former FBI Director quickly became a target for the President, after Trump blamed him for the investigation into Russian interference during the 2016 election.

2. Could not one, but two downtown Milwaukee skyscraper projects be in jeopardy? We reported earlier this week about the pause in construction for the mass timber high-rise The Edison along the Milwaukee River near the Marcus Performing Arts Center. The developer is Madison-based Neutral, who says the pause is due to tariff and inflation concerns, and a desire to "value engineer" the project. Now, Alderman Bob Bauman has filed a resolution seeking new requests for proposals, or RFPs, for the MPAC garage project. The Department of City Development had proposed a one-year exclusive right to negotiation on the project for Neutral in 2024. But that 55-story building plan remains purely conceptual.

3. We now know some of the Starbucks stores that are set to close in our state. Two are right here in southeastern Wisconsin. The Starbucks on Port Washington & Brown Deer in Fox Point will close on Sunday. So will the Starbucks store on I-94 and Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa. A third Wisconsin closure is set for the Starbucks on Oneida & Ramada up in Green Bay. The workers said this morning they won't know until Sunday whether they get to transfer to another location. Starbucks announced yesterday that it's closing nearly 400 stores across the country. 900 corporate workers are being let go. The new CEO says the closing stores were identified during a review of coffeehouses as under-performers.

ABC News Correspondent Jim Ryan talks about how two people, including the suspected shooter, were killed and two others were wounded after gunfire erupted Wednesday morning at the Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. The head of the local FBI office said the attack was directed at ICE agents, noting that an unspent shell casing had “ANTI-ICE” scrawled on its side. The gunman is thought to have taken his own life as police closed in.

1. Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is pausing abortions starting next month. The group tells WTMJ the change starts October 1st. The pause comes as Planned Parenthood tries to find a way to provide the service under President Trump's recently enacted budget bill. A provision in that bill deprives Planned Parenthood and its members of Medicaid funding. Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin tells us it's trying to see as many patients as possible before the law takes effect. It's also working to refer patients to other outlets that perform abortions.

2. President Trump is expected to sign a deal today that would keep TikTok running in the United States. The algorithm is essentially, on lease from ByteDance to Oracle who will work to mimic its wizardry, but Wired Magazine's Senior Writer Zie-Yee Yung believes the user experience could differ slightly. The app's features, such as video creation tools, filters, and sounds, are expected to function as they do now. Oracle is a behind-the-scenes data and security partner, not a developer of consumer-facing features.
