1. An award-winning journalist from Wisconsin who went missing in Norway has been found alive! Climate journalist Alec Luhn went missing during a solo hike on a Norwegian glacier on Thursday. His wife tells CBS News, he has a leg injury, but he's safe. Luhn is a native of Stoughton, Wisconsin. He graduated from UW-Madison's Journalism program. He's now based in London, and has reported for outlets like The New York Times, National Geographic, CBS News Radio, and The Atlantic. Luhn left for that solo hike last Thursday... but never showed up for his flight home. That's when his wife got worried, called the police, and searches began. It was a team in a rescue helicopter who spotted Luhn.

2. A blockbuster deal between the National Football League and a network that airs some of its games. ESPN will also acquire the NFL's fantasy product and merge it into its existing platform, making ESPN Fantasy Football the official game of the NFL. The agreements between ESPN and the NFL are subject to approval from NFL owners and government regulators.

3. Air quality alerts are up in parts of ten states from the Midwest to the Northeast. Wisconsin is included. All affected by smoke drifting in from Canada. It's prompted local and state leaders to call on Canada to do more in dealing with the wildfire battle.

ABC News Technology Reporter Mike Dobuski talks about how over the weekend, many internet users in the UK were greeted with an unusual request when trying to log into some popular websites. Upload a picture of your ID, reads a pop-up message, or take a selfie and let age detection software determine how old you are. It’s all part of the UK’s new Online Safety Act, which is designed to shield kids in the country from inappropriate content online. The law is broadly defined, and the penalties for breaking it are steep, which has prompted backlash among civil liberties groups. It’s also prompted privacy questions and fostered some creative thinking with regards to subverting the age detectors.

ABC News Correspondent Jim Ryan talks about how the Texas House of Representatives on Monday was scheduled to vote on a Trump-backed plan to re-draw the state’s congressional districts to favor GOP candidates. Calling it a Republican attempt to “rig” the 2026 midterm election, dozens of Texas House Democrats left the state, preventing a quorum before Monday’s scheduled vote. The Democrats’ move is mostly symbolic and comes with potentially severe consequences.

1. The bidding is now over for Milwaukee County's abandoned boat. The auction ended at noon. The highest bid... $2,000! There were 38 bids total.The boat became a temporary fixture along the Milwaukee County shoreline after it was grounded earlier this year. There were numerous attempts to try to remove it. When it finally happened in May: It cost the county $20 thousand dollars. The auction was a creative way to get some of that money back.

2. President Trump is creating a task force focused on planning for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. The President will be the head of that task force. Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," signed into law last month, secured $1 billion for security, planning and other costs related to the Olympics. Trump also chairs a federal task force to oversee preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which the United States, Canada and Mexico will host jointly.

1. Funeral Arrangements are now set for the Viterbo University grad student found dead in the Mississippi River. 22-year-old Eliotte Heinz was working on her master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. Her obituary says she would have been a great counselor and advocate. Heinz went missing after a night out in La Crosse last month. Her body turned up three days later in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minnesota, about 10 miles south of where she went missing. Foul play is not suspected but the final autopsy isn't back yet. Her funeral is now set for next Saturday at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Greenville, Wisconsin. The visitation starts at 8AM. The funeral starts at noon. Heinz was a graduate of Hortonville High School and UW Stevens Point. Her obituary says, "Heinz made friends everywhere she went. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was smart, funny, energetic, and happy. She brought laughter and joy to everyone who was blessed to know her." Heinz' family also thanked all the community members who supported the search efforts last month.

2. The Green Bay Packers announced a free concert highlighting kickoff weekend in the NFL. The concert will be held Sept. 6 outside Lambeau Field in the stadium’s northwest side parking lot. Parking for concertgoers is free in the Lambeau Field lots, and parking is first-come, first-served. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to use during the show, but carry-ins such as coolers, outside food and beverages, umbrellas and tents are not permitted. A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Lambeau Field parking lot and at Titletown. The Lambeau Field Atrium, including the Packers Pro Shop, Lambeau Field Stadium Tours, the Packers Hall of Fame and 1919 Kitchen & Tap will be open for regular hours.

3. Expanding "Families on the Fly." This is a new option for families at the airport. "Families on the Fly" is geared towards groups traveling with kids 12 and under. It creates dedicated security lanes for family's discounts on TSA Pre-Check and a dedicated Pre-Check security line for military families. Well now it's expanding to include major vacation destinations like Orlando, Orange County, and Honolulu. John Wayne Airport outside of L-A just adopted the program. So how is it going? This is the second big change to TSA policy this summer. Last month, airports did away with making passengers take off their shoes at security. Now, Homeland Security says it's looking for other ways to streamline the process, including eliminating that 3-ounce limit on liquids.
