Police in La Crosse are looking for a young woman who went missing near the Mississippi River. 22-year-old Eliotte Heinz was last seeing walking along Front Street in La Crosse just before 3:30 Sunday morning. Her friends and family helped with a search this morning. Heinz is 5-4, 120 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jean shorts.

2. The hottest team in baseball, winners of 10 straight games, are your Milwaukee Brewers fresh off ANOTHER sweep of the Dodgers. In winning 10 straight, the Brewers have joined the Cubs atop the NL Central division standings AND are tied with the Cubs for the best record in the National League. With a record of 59-40, the Brewers take the field tonight in Seattle for game one of a three-game series with the Mariners. Brandon Woodruff starts tonight and guess who could be on the mound tomorrow with the potential to lock in free burgers from George Webb. The Mariners are 53-46 and in second place in the AL West. 3. A close call between a Delta Airlines regional jet, and a B-52 bomber, in North Dakota. The jet was about to land, when the pilot said he had to take quick action to avoid the other plane. The jet was operated by SkyWest. The Air Force confirms that a B-52 was flying over the North Dakota State Fair. A Delta regional jet on approach to Minot, North Dakota on Friday, forced to make an aggressive maneuver to avoid a midair collision with a B-52 bomber, according to the pilot. It's unclear how close the two planes came to each other

1. New details at noon explain how Oconomowoc Police were able to catch the suspect in a deadly hit and run. 87-year-old Allan (Amy) died Wednesday, after being hit by an SUV on Monday. He was riding his tractor home at the time. He had just finished cutting the grass at a church in Oconomowoc. The man accused of hitting (Amy) had been on the run for days but police say they have him now. Officers arrested Matthew Brennecke of Dousman last night. Police Chief James Pfister says tips from the public were "crucial." But he says the most significant breakthrough in the investigation came from a camera system designed to capture license plates and characteristics of cars. Piecing together different videos allowed them to pinpoint the suspect's vehicle determine the license plate and ultimately help them track down Brennecke. Oconomowoc put up its first cameras with the Flock system last year.

2. President Trump is calling for the release of additional material from the Jeffrey Epstein files. This comes after Trump initially downplayed the significance of the case, calling it "boring" and labeling speculation about it a "hoax" perpetrated by Democrats. But Trump is facing mounting pressure from within his own party and amidst a news report connecting him to a letter found in Epstein's possession. Subject to the approval of a federal judge in the Southern District of New York, that's the key here; transcripts are usually highly protected. About that letter: Donald Trump has denied writing it, calling it "fake" and "false, malicious, and defamatory". It was all part of a 50th birthday album of stuff for Epstein. The letter ended with the words: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret”. Trump has also announced that he will sue The Wall Street Journal for publishing the story.

3. A little more than halfway through the year, the number of U.S. fatalities caused by lightning is on pace to surpass the totals from 2022 and 2023. The latest deaths happened in New Jersey this week. Last year, 13 people in the U.S. were killed by lightning. Wednesday’s death of a 61-year-old man at an archery range was the 12th in the U.S. this year. States with the highest incidence of lightning deaths: Colorado, Texas and Florida, where 94 people have died since 2006. Lightning can strike 20 miles from the thunderstorm that spawns it, so warning systems can be crucial.
