1. Two Milwaukee police officers were both shot last night during what's being described as an ambush. The officers were dispatched to 25th and Garfield for someone with a weapon. While responding, they were shot in an alley. The officers were not able to return fire. The Assistant Police Chief says there are too many guns on our streets and people who have no respect for local law enforcement. One of the officers is fighting for his life right now. He's a 32-year-old with more than six years of service. The other officer is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. He also has more than six years of service. The suspect is in custody.

2. The trial against music mogul Sean Diddy Combs is coming to a close. Prosecutors put their case to rest on Thursday in the sex trafficking trial in New York. The defense will issue closing arguments today. During the trial, the defense introduced as evidence reams of text messages suggesting that the women were at times willing participants in the events. Combs' fate could be in the hands of the jury later today.

1. A Milwaukee police officer is fighting for his life right now, after a shooting in an alley last night. Another police officer is in the hospital with serious but less severe injuries. The President of the Milwaukee Police Association, Alex Ayala, tells WTMJ the officers had no chance to fight back. Those officers were initially dispatched to 25th and Garfield for a report of someone with a weapon. The shooting happened in an alley nearby. The man accused of shooting those officers is now in custody. He was arrested around 2:15 this morning, without incident. Ayala says the next few hours are critical for the officer fighting for his life.

2. Potential changes for kids vaccination schedule debated at CDC vaccine advisory panel meetings this week. The Advisory Committee hand-selected by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior voting to recommend against flu vaccines containing the preservative thimerosal. Thimerosal has been phased out of most childhood vaccines in the United States and is no longer used in vaccines recommended for infants and children. Thimerosal acts as a preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi in multi-dose vials of vaccines. Concerns have been raised about thimerosal and its potential link to autism, but extensive research has shown no evidence of a causal relationship.

3. Based on the latest inflation indicator interest rates won’t be coming down anytime soon. Core inflation surged higher between last May and this May.
