1. President Trump signs an executive order that will cut prescription drug and pharmaceutical prices "almost immediately, by 30% to 80%." Big Pharma says this plan will slow down research on new drugs. President Trump says we will have to pay less. The U.S. spends $400 billion on prescription drugs every year, often triple what other countries spend and typically more than any other nation.
2. A busy day in a Manhattan court room as the trial for music mogul, Sean "Diddy" Combs gets underway. Jury selection, Jury swear-in, opening statements, and day one of testimony. In her opening statements, Prosecutor Emily Johnson tells the jury they’ll hear all about the alleged charges against Sean “Diddy” Combs during his trial. “Kidnapping, arson, drugs, sex crimes, bribery and obstruction, these are just some of the crimes that the defendant and his inner circle committed again and again.” Combs has pleaded not guilty to all five counts against. Combs is facing 15 years to life in prison pending the outcome of the trial which is expected to last 8-10 weeks.
