1. Two more Milwaukee Public Schools will close temporarily, as the district deals with the lead crisis. The superintendent announced today that Westside Academy and Brown Street School will close. Starms Early Childhood Education Center and LaFollette School remain closed. The district also revealed an updated plan to take care of the old paint in the aging school. That’s what officials suspect is the cause of elevated blood lead levels in some students this year. The new plan will start with a visual inspection of each building… that school will then get a risk classification. Additional testing will take place at schools deemed a higher risk.

3. A nice start to the day but we're now on storm watch. Strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon and again this evening. Much of southeastern Wisconsin is under an Enhanced (Level 3) risk for severe weather. Strong winds combined with increasing dew points and temperatures will lead to a highly charged environment. That's where the potential for severe weather comes in. If we get it, Storm Team 4 says all types of severe weather are possible, hail, intense winds, even tornadoes.
