Meditation is the most important thing that I do for my daily wellness. I began meditating over a decade ago with a daily five-minute meditation, and I’ve been teaching meditation since 2020. It has changed my life, and I believe that if you approach meditation with an open mind that it can change yours as well.
In this replay from 2025, I’ll walk you through why meditation works for me, where to start if you think meditation might help you, and what a daily meditation and mindfulness practice can look like.
Be sure to stay until the end for a free guided meditation on rebuilding self worth to get you started!
Today on WithIn:
Why meditation and mindfulness are so important
Growing scientific research on the benefits of meditation
What is meditation - physically, mentally and spiritually?
Your first steps to beginning a meditation practice

It’s a heavy time to be living in this world. You’re feeling it, I’m feeling it, and it can be such a challenge to figure out how to navigate it all when it all feels like so much. So today, we’re going to talk about it.
Women’s well being is directly related to what’s happening in the world at large. As soon as we accept this we can begin to root into not only what we can do to enact change, but how we can live a beautiful life and stay soft amidst these hard times.

In moments of transition and expansion it can be so easy to fall into patterns of self sabotage. This often occurs because you have hit your ‘upper limit’ - your internal subconscious temperature control that was created in your foundational years to keep you safe.
Expanding our upper limit is possible, but it requires grace, intention and self awareness. Today we’ll talk about what your upper limit is, how to notice if it is being activated, and how to move with it in a way that allows for your expansion.
Today on WithIn:
How to invite expansion into your life without getting in your own way.
The ways in which our upper limits were set in childhood
How to tell if you are reaching your upper limit
Steps you can take to reset your internal barometer

(This episode originally aired in summer 2025, and we're bringing it back because somatic work and nervous system regulation is so very important at this time)
“We are all just toddlers, but taller.” - Beatriz Victoria Albina
Somatic therapy is something that I’ve been really intrigued about in my own life, and before this conversation I didn’t quite understand it. My new friend Beatriz Victoria Albina has changed that. In today’s episode she’ll beautifully explain what somatic therapy is, and how it can help those of us who were socialized in ways that created perfectionist, co-dependent or people pleasing habits so that we can live life in a way that is kinder to our nervous systems.
Beatriz Victoria Albina is a Master Certified Somatic Life Coach, Nurse Practitioner, and has a Masters in Public Health. She is the host of the Feminist Wellness Podcast. Her new book, End Emotional Outsourcing: How to Overcome Codependent, Perfectionist and People Pleasing Habits comes out in September!
Today on WithIn:
How Béa’s work came to include a whole self approach, including functional medicine, the somatic nervous system and life coaching
Why you should make the shift from labeling triggers as ‘core wounds’ to ‘core wisdom’
How to ‘orient and ground’ in moments of trigger using somatic exercises
The importance of feeling your ‘sacred anger’
What is emotional outsourcing?
Beatriz has a special gift for listeners of this episode! Visit www.beatrizalbina.com/withinpod for a free suite of her inner child meditations and nervous system orienting tools.

My Journey Into Sobriety
Lessons From Five Years of Sobriety
In the last couple of years, my husband JP and I have completely rebuilt our marriage to fit our new needs. It wasn’t easy, and we’ve learned so much along the way.
One of the biggest elements of our marriage that needed to change for me was the level of mental load that I was carrying alone. JP stepped up and worked with me to change the dynamic for our family. Today we’ll share how we navigated that process and what we’ve learned.
Today on WithIn:
What has changed the most in our marriage in the past two decades
The steps we took to better understand each other’s evolving needs
Sitting in the insecurity of not knowing if your marriage can evolve
Retaining your sense of self amidst the challenges of a busy family life

New Year’s Resolutions rely on the idea that you are broken, and that you have to ‘fix’ something within yourself in the new year. I believed that for a long time, but no more.
This year I’m inviting you to set intentions for yourself for the year that are rooted in radical self love, self compassion, and grace. Because you are already whole and lovable just as you are.
Today on WithIn:
Showing gratitude for the woman who has brought you to the beginning of the year
Clarifying your intentions for 2026
Prioritizing self awareness and self compassion over ‘changing’ yourself
The wellness hamster wheel and how to avoid getting pulled onto it as the year begins
Loving the woman that you are
