我的老台北，沒有一定的時間坐標，是因為事件在某時某刻發生的那一瞬間並非只一瞬間，無論它當下如何劇烈，都不是獨立於時空之流以外而存在；它的來龍去脈，機生道成，綿延亙古。

我的老台北，沒有一定的空間座標，但是它總有籃球場、網球場和游泳池。在某些記憶的細節裡，游泳池旁是籃球場。在另一些往事的場景中，網球場就是籃球場。還有一些如夢似幻、糾結不清的人和物件，竟許會發生在同一個環境裡的籃球場、網球場和游泳池裡。儘管我日後可以透過種種檢索的方式去搜尋文字所記載的某個年代、某段舊聞、某些名字，然而，資料往往不能告訴我：我記得的那些風中飄絮一般的瑣碎片段，存在過嗎？
