Frank Diaz is the Founder and Director of the Institute for Mindfulness-Based Wellness and Pedagogy and a professor at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He is also Co-Director of the Music and Mind Lab and an Affiliate Member of the Cognitive Science Department at IU. Frank is also a recognized Zen Buddhist teacher and has taught secular and religious meditative practices to thousands of students across the United States. Bret “Epic” Mazur is a record producer, and founder and frontman of rap rock group Crazy Town. In the early 90s, he and Wolf formed a successful production duo, “Wolf And Epic”, working on projects with Prince, Seal, The Rebirth of Cool, New Edition and Bell Biv Devoe. In this episode, Bret talks about life on the road with Crazy Town, the vagaries of the music business, the highs of performing and the seduction of substance addiction.
