This week’s episode features an incredibly rich and helpful conversation with Jodi Krahn, a mind-body focused psychotherapist who struggled with disordered eating for years before embarking on a healing journey that she so generously shares with us. There are countless insights in this conversation related to our beliefs around food and where they come from, the symbolism of our cravings and food behaviors, and the importance of learning to be there for ourselves rather than relying on external sources of comfort.

According to ayurvedic wisdom, those of us in the northern hemisphere are in “kapha” season, a time of year when the elements of earth and water are heightened, which can cause the kapha constitution within each of us to become unbalanced. Been feeling heavy, stagnant, low and unmotivated? Kapha may be the culprit. In this episode, Aimee and Lisa share their favorite practices for motivating themselves when they’re down and how to meet that lack of motivation with compassion rather than frustration and critical self-talk. Aimee shares how she’s growing a sense of worthiness in 2019, and Lisa reveals how imagining “The Rock” (?) as a father figure helps her to remember her worth!
