  • EP 61 // Owning My Worth as a Leader // Samantha Rabstein

"Candor heightens the feelings of trust."- Samantha Rabstein

I had the delightful opportunity to visit the home of my dear friend, client, and co-worker Sammy last weekend while in LA, and we recorded an episode for the podcast.

This isn't a typical Worthfull Project episode. It's a deep dive into the nuance of worthfull communication and leadership from the perspective of someone who has some SKILLS.

Sammy is an incredible businesswoman, talent scout, and has a mind for curation and powerful conversation like few people I've met. She works with some of the most successful and influential people in the world and she finds ways to present them in the best light. Working with her has been wonderful, and becoming friends has been even better.

I am grateful for the chance to record this conversation so that more people can hear the brilliance of a worthfull woman in the workplace and in life.

  • EP 60 // Shedding the Armor // Christine Baird

"I've learned new ways to be protected and stay soft."

I just got to LA for a work trip and have been noticing my emotions and thoughts on returning to the city that so much of my worthfull journey has happened in.

The most palpable feeling I recognized on my first night here was the weight of the armor that I wore when I lived here -- armor I thought I needed to protect my self-worth as I rediscovered it.

It was a powerful moment of perspective as I realized how heavy that armor was and how much energy it took for me to wear it for 4 years in this city.

I recorded a short solo episode on this topic because I want anyone who feels like they are wearing emotional armor to know that it doesn't always have to be that way.

It's possible to be soft, tender, worthfull, happy, and at peace AND to be strong, safe, protected, and armor-less. I hope this message serves you as much as it has me.

  • EP 59 // Overcoming the Resistance to Worth // Christine Baird

"Resistance is simply my ego trying to keep me safe. But the truth is, I am safe."

I have been working on (and procrastinating on) a big project for months now. It's going to be a really wonderful thing once I finish it. But I've had plenty of resistance come up against me doing just that.

I realized today, after committing that no matter what, today was the day that I would finish the project, that this resistance has been pushing on me the whole time, but it was subtle. As it often is.

Instead of me feeling burdened by the resistance to finishing my project, I found all kinds of great things to distract myself with.

And it wasn't until I got some serious accountability from true friends that I could really feel the power of the resistance to me creating something really great that would force me to own my worth.

Of course I wanted to record a solo episode about this because the resistance shows up for any of us who are choosing to own our worth. Our egos want nothing more than to keep us safe and hidden in our comfort zones. But that's not what our worth is meant to do.

  • EP 58 // Happiness Because I Said So // Christine Baird

"[Happiness] when it's done right, is a kind of holiness, palpable and redemptive." - Mary Oliver

I read this little snippet of a poem this morning during my morning routine and it sunk right into me.

What a beautiful way to think about happiness - a holy redemption that is our choice.

At the end of the day, I had a conversation with my friend Henry, and found myself telling him about all the beautiful parts of my life that I have cultivated because I said so.

I realized that the happiness I have attracted -- the holy, redemptive kind -- is possible because of the conscious choices I made to shift my lifestyle. Because I said so, I have never been happier.

This is one of the most beautiful parts of owning your worth. Here are a few short thoughts on what level of happiness is possible because YOU say so.

  • EP 57 // Letting In a Worthfull Kind of Love // Christine Baird

"'There's too much risk in loving,' the young boy said. 'No,' said the old man, 'There's too much risk in not.'" - Atticus

I have something special to share with you in honor Valentine's Day today -- and in honor of the journey I've been on to open my heart back up to love, from a place of worth.

For the past few years, and the past year specifically, I have been healing some deep wounds around love. I've been learning new habits, letting old ones go, rewiring my brain and heart to attract love based on worth.

It's been an extraordinary journey, that I am still in the middle of, and I've been blessed with so many tools along the way. I've also recently attracted a wonderful man into my life, so it felt time to share what has been working to do that.

I wanted to open my heart and share more than I have before. To offer anything that has supported me to you and trust that it will be of service.

I wanted to send you a love note today, a reminder that when we live worthfull lives, we attract in the very best, and that includes amazing relationships and the partner of our dreams.

I'd love to hear what tools have supported you in opening yourself to love and attracting worthfull relationships. We're all in this together. Much love today and always xoxo.

  • EP 56 // Worth Regardless of Circumstance // Christine Baird

"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." - Friederich Nietzsche

I watched a TED talk today that made my whole world pause and sort itself out. You know the kind?

This one is by a couple, Mark and Simone, who have faced extreme challenges. They called their talk, "A love letter to realism," and it made me think of the choice I have every day to own my worth regardless of my circumstances.

I've thought about this topic a lot, especially while on this worthfull journey, and something about the TED talk inspired me to put my thoughts into a solo episode so that I wouldn't forget what I'm learning.

In short, I know that I bring value to any situation I am in, regardless of my personal circumstances, when I choose to own my worth. This is the foundation of a worthfull life.

I hope you watch the TED talk, and I hope you remember how capable you are of sharing value by being your whole self.

  • EP 55 // Trusting the Process // Christine Baird

"Your time may be now or you may be in process. Be patient and don't rush the journey."

I read a note in my phone this morning (during my morning routine) that I wrote 4.5 years ago.

It was from the very beginning of my big life transformation - when I quit my corporate job, was in therapy, building a whole new kind of life.

I had written out a list of blog post ideas for a blog I hadn't even fully designed yet; one of them was this: "Your time may be now or you may be in process. Be patient and don't rush the journey."

As I read that again this morning, I realized I've been having this conversation repeatedly lately.

It's something I think we all struggle with at times -- while we are in process -- and the timing felt just right to revisit this topic years down the road with some perspective.

My intention is that if you are in "the process" of finding your worth, becoming the best version of yourself, building your dream, etc. this episode gives you a boost to keep going for another day, while being kind to yourself.

  • EP 54 // Finding My Worth Through Imperfection // Katie Lee

"I add value by just being me."

I met a new friend at an open mic night (that she was performing at), and she started listening to the Worthfull Project when she found out about my podcast.

I'm always so flattered and grateful anytime anyone listens to the show, but when she told me she had some thoughts to share that would make a great episode, I was even more delighted.   When Katie and I sat down to record this episode, she started telling me about her experiences of growing up with an anxiety disorder, how she loved herself regardless, and what it taught her about self-worth.   I was mesmerized and knew this was what the episode needed to be about. Every one of us has struggles and imperfections in this life. It's so easy to believe that they make us less than or less lovable.

This conversation is all about the opposite -- and how we can find our worth through our quirks.

  • EP 53 // Giving Myself Permission to Heal // Christine Baird

"I felt myself come back home to myself. And I didn't even know I was away."

I've been so excited to share a solo episode on Season 2 of the podcast because I have SO MUCH to share.

Over the holidays, I moved from LA to Salt Lake City, shifted my entire work flow and clientele, took a six week break from work, reconnected with old friends, made lots of new ones, spent time with my family, let myself enjoy the holidays and . . . healed.

That's the word that keeps coming up for me when I think about what the last couple of months have felt like -- a deep healing on a physical, emotional, and mental level.

I have never felt more calm, joy, peace, health, or energy and it's because I've come home to myself.

I've let go of trauma and energy and lifestyles that don't serve me. I've received support and love and abundance from all sides.

I've remembered how it feels to be myself. It's the best feeling and I can't wait to share my thoughts with you -- because I know it's possible for you too.

  • EP 52 // Anchoring Your Worth In Your Vision // Marj Desius

"All the messy things that happen in our lives make our message stronger."

I recently met a gorgeous angel in real life - my new friend Marj who is an incredible singer, vocal coach, actor, mother, wife, speaker, author, etc.

I barely knew Marj when we sat down to record this episode, but I knew she had a wealth of wisdom about worth to share.

As we talked about her extraordinarily challenging life (growing up in Haiti, surviving one of the biggest earthquakes ever, moving to the states and so much more), her light just kept shining brighter.

I loved talking with her about how committing to your vision is essential for creating the life you want - above any circumstances, labels, or challenges.

I also loved talking with her about what to do when you aren't clear on what you want and why that isn't a bad thing.

This is yet another gem of a conversation that I'm delighted to be sharing.
