Bridger saves lives aboard a family submarine before investigating a new undersea religion in a 4-color take on the seaQuest multimedia launch, in what would turn out to be its only issue. This comic book tie-in ramps up the action, quips, and sex appeal beyond where the show would reach in only the first ish.

seaQuest DSV: The Novel

As seaQuest embarked on its tv journey, the multimedia strategy made port in bookstores as well. This novelization of the premiere episode centers the action in the minds of Captains Bridger and Stark, and has an electric prose in moments of tension. How does it compare to the filmed version that's become so familiar?

This unproduced seaQuest episode would have been wall-to-wall climactic action, shocking reveals, twists and turnabouts, as every power player reacts to the destabilizing force of an orbital superweapon. Also, Hudson's relationship with his father is revealed.
