「Ponder the path of your feet,

　And let all your ways be established.」　　Amen.

"Start from Kai" a saying from a Chinese tale, meaning to begin with what is close at hand. "Change yourself rather than others," if you wish for someone to be a certain way, start by becoming that way yourself. The Bible says, "Focus on yourself. Set your heart, do not waver, do not turn to the right or to the left, but firmly establish to walk in the path of love."

May you be firmly established today in walking the path of the love of the Lord...

『あなたの足の道筋に心を向けよ。

　そうすれば、あなたのすべての道は堅く定まる。』

　「隗より始めよ」、中国故事の言葉ですが、まずは身近なものから始めること。「他人を変えるよりも自分を変えよ」、あの人にこうなって欲しいと思ったら、自分がそうなることです。聖書は言うのです。「人の事ではない。あなたが心を定め、ふらふらせず、右にも左にもそれず、愛の道を歩むように堅く定めよ」と。

　今日も、主の愛の道を進むことを堅く定められますように・・・。

「Let your eyes look straight ahead,

　And your eyelids look right before you.」Amen.

Do we walk looking down or looking up? The further ahead you go, the wider that path becomes. When we look sideways, we inevitably want to compare. And we try to make ourselves look good. I am teaching you to separate the mouth that speaks falsehood, the lips that say crooked things. The way to happiness is to look straight up at God.

　Today, too, may we look up ahead as we move forward....

『あなたの目が前方を見つめ、

　まぶたがまっすぐ前を向くようにせよ。』

　下を見て歩くのか、上を見上げながら歩くのか。その行く道は先に行けば行く程、拡がっていくのです。横を見ると、どうしても比較したがります。そして、自分を良く見せようとします。偽りを言う口、曲がったことを言う唇、これを切り離せと教えているのです。真っ直ぐ神様を見上げていくことが幸せの道なのです。

　今日も、前を見上げながら進むことがあできますように・・・。　

「Keep your heart with all diligence,

　For out of it spring the issues of life.」　Amen.

A healthy mind is joyful when it wakes up and sleeps with fullness when it goes to bed. It is energized in its work and full of hope in its interpersonal relationships. That is why we are told that we must protect that heart above all else. That is because what is in the heart comes out as words from the mouth, which become habits, which become a person's character. From a good heart come good deeds.

　May we watch over our hearts today....

『何を見張るよりも、あなたの心を見守れ。

　いのちの泉はこれから湧く。』

　健康な心は、起きた時には喜びがあり、寝る時には満ち足りて眠るのです。仕事にもハリがあり、対人的にも希望が満ちているのです。だからこそ、何よりもその心を守らなければならないと言われるのです。それは、心の中にあるものが口から言葉となって出て、それが習慣となり、それがその人の人格となるからです。良い心からは、良い行いが生まれるものです。

　今日も、心を見守ることができますように・・・。　　

『3:4 ただし、私には、肉においても頼れるところがあります。ほかのだれかが肉に頼れると思うなら、私はそれ以上です。3:5 私は生まれて八日目に割礼を受け、イスラエル民族、ベニヤミン部族の出身、ヘブル人の中のヘブル人、律法についてはパリサイ人、3:6 その熱心については教会を迫害したほどであり、律法による義については非難されるところがない者でした。3:7 しかし私は、自分にとって得であったこのようなすべてのものを、キリストのゆえに損と思うようになりました。

3:8 それどころか、私の主であるキリスト・イエスを知っていることのすばらしさのゆえに、私はすべてを損と思っています。私はキリストのゆえにすべてを失いましたが、それらはちりあくただと考えています。それは、私がキリストを得て、3:9 キリストにある者と認められるようになるためです。私は律法による自分の義ではなく、キリストを信じることによる義、すなわち、信仰に基づいて神から与えられる義を持つのです。』

私は、神様を知らない間は、何が罪なのかも分からず、何の為に生きているのかも分からず、自己嫌悪の海を漂っていました。でも、神様に救われ、罪の世界から神の支配の世界へと移されました。基督を得たことによって生き方、考え方、接し方がちがってきました。まだまだ古い自分が残っているものの、神様と共に歩む限り、聖化から栄化へと道は備えられているのです。安心、安全、平穏な道が備えられているのです。

お祈りします。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。あなたは良き神様ですから、私たちの人生を良きもので満たそうとしていますから感謝します。キリストを得て、心が解放され、愛、喜び、平安のうちに歩む事ができますからありがとうございます。日々、イエス様から目を離さないで祈りつつ過ごすことができますようにお導き願います。今日の礼拝を感謝し、主イエス・キリストのお名前によってお祈り致します。　アーメン。

『正しい人の進む道は、あけぼのの光のようだ。

　いよいよ輝きを増して真昼となる。』

　正しい道を歩むということは、神様に従い、神のみこころを行うという事でもあるのです。しかし、その道はえてして険しいものです。ある人は、「アルプスの氷壁を登るようなものだ」と、言われました。アルプスの氷壁を登ったことはありませんが、一歩踏み外すと滑落してしまいます。そんな危険な状況を歩かなければならない時もあります。でも、神に希望を置き、登っている人の心には、やがてあけぼのの光が差し込むのです。

　今日も、主と共に正しい道を歩むことができますように・・・。　

「But the path of the just is like the shining sun,

　That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.」　Amen.

To walk the right path is to follow God and do His will. However, the path is often difficult. Someone once told me, "It is like climbing an ice wall in the Alps" I have never climbed an ice wall in the Alps, but if you take a wrong step, you will slip and fall. There are times when we have to walk through such dangerous situations. But the light of dawn will eventually shine into the hearts of those who place their hope in God and climb.

　May we walk the right path with the Lord today....

「Avoid it, do not travel on it;

　Turn away from it and pass on.」Amen.

"Avoid","do not travel" and "Turn away" are all references to evil ways. In the Bible, evil is a state of being apart from God. Those who know of God's existence but deny it, those who refuse to know of God's existence, the path they take is called the way of the wicked. It is difficult to avoid, do not travel, turn away that path when we spend time in this world. But by doing so, we can walk the path that shines like the light of the dawn.

　May we walk in the Lord's path today....
