There’s grief in death - but there’s also grief in the life you pictured that didn’t happen.
In this raw and deeply personal episode, Darla Ridilla shares what it really looks like to grieve the invisible losses - the breakup that shattered her expectations, the friendships she outgrew, and the death of her soul dog, Goliath.
Through her story, Darla explores how grief shows up not just in our hearts but in our bodies - through exhaustion, anxiety, numbness, and even chronic pain - and how giving those emotions space can transform them into wisdom.
If you’ve ever felt like your grief doesn’t “make sense” or that you should be over it by now, this conversation will remind you that grief isn’t linear - it’s layered, cyclical, and sacred.
This episode invites you to:
Because sometimes the grief that almost breaks you is the very thing that brings you home to who you really are.

This is the grief we don’t talk about - the kind that breaks your body, shatters your identity, and forces you to rebuild from nothing. In this opening episode of our new series, The Cost of Carrying It All, we explore what it means to grieve deeply, fully, and in a world that often turns away.
Grief coach and author Eryn Elder shares the story of losing her firstborn daughter to sudden unexplained infant death and how that loss unraveled everything she thought she knew. We talk about:
Whether you’ve lost someone or something, this episode will help you name the invisible pain you’ve been carrying and begin to make space for healing—on your terms.

Sometimes words just aren’t enough. You can analyze, journal, and talk through your pain—but your body still remembers what your mind is trying to forget.
In this episode, Darla sits down with Mindful Arts Therapist Susan Day, who’s redefining what healing looks like through creativity, mindfulness, and play. Together they explore how art, movement, and even “messy expression” can help women process emotions, calm their nervous systems, and rebuild self-trust—without needing to say a word.
You’ll hear how coloring, painting, or crafting can unlock parts of yourself that talk therapy can’t reach, why “making mistakes” is essential to healing, and how art teaches us the most powerful lesson of all: you can keep working on it, and it’s still beautiful.
Susan also shares insights on women who’ve spent years being told they’re “too much”—why they often feel guilt or shame for standing out, and how creativity can help them reclaim peace, confidence, and a deeper sense of wholeness.
This episode is a reminder that healing isn’t supposed to look perfect. It’s supposed to be yours.
If you’re ready to stop shrinking, embrace your individuality, and discover new ways to feel whole again, this conversation will open a new doorway back to yourself.

We all have our go-to escapes—food, wine, shopping, scrolling—when life feels overwhelming. But here’s the hard truth: most of what we call coping is really numbing. It silences the emotions we’ve never been taught to process and leaves us stuck in cycles of shame, self-criticism, and quick fixes that don’t last.
In this solo episode of Healing Beyond Words: Food, Art, and the Path Back to Self, I connect the dots between emotional eating and creative expression—showing how our bodies often reveal what our words can’t. You’ll learn how to recognize when you’re numbing versus healing, why awareness is the first step toward change, and what it looks like to move from self-abandonment into self-trust.
If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Why do I keep doing this when I know better?” this episode will give you the bridge to shift from numbing patterns into practices that actually bring wholeness, resilience, and freedom.

If you’ve ever found yourself standing in front of the fridge when you weren’t even hungry, reaching for food to calm the storm of emotions inside, this conversation is for you.
In the first episode of Healing Beyond Words: Food, Art, and the Path Back to Self series, I sit down with trauma-informed life and weight loss coach Jillian Scott to explore the hidden link between emotionally abusive relationships, emotional eating, and the shame so many of us carry in silence. Jillian shares her personal journey of binge eating for 14 years — and the rock-bottom moment that finally opened the door to healing.
Together, we unpack why food becomes our shield, how shame keeps us trapped in cycles of restriction and rebellion, and what it really takes to feel safe in our bodies again. You’ll walk away with practical tools to begin unlearning emotional eating, along with a radical shift in perspective: food isn’t the enemy, unprocessed pain is.
If you’re tired of “starting over Monday,” if you’ve felt powerless around food, or if you’ve carried the extra weight like armor after abuse, you’re not alone. This episode will show you how to begin creating safety, joy, and self-trust so you can move from food as comfort to food as freedom.

What if the root of our anxiety, people-pleasing, and unhealthy relationship patterns isn’t personal weakness—but a deeper cultural conditioning that keeps us trapped in hierarchy and control?
In Part 3 of the Radical Truth in Relationships series, Darla Ridilla sits down with Amy Vasterling—future-focused author of Know: Where the Status Quo Ends and You Come to Life—to explore how reclaiming your inner knowing can dismantle old patterns and open the door to authentic connection.
Together they unpack:
If you’ve ever felt silenced, dismissed, or pressured to shrink in order to belong, this conversation will remind you that you already carry the wisdom you’ve been searching for—and that living from your knowing changes everything.

In this raw and unfiltered solo episode—part two of the series Radical Truth in Relationships: From Straight Talk to Lasting Connection—Darla Ridilla opens up about the cost of silence and the radical freedom that comes from telling the truth—even when it risks rejection, backlash, or pain. She shares her personal reflections in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, her own history of surviving narcissistic abuse, and the ongoing process of learning to communicate with honesty, integrity, and courage.
You’ll hear why silence keeps women imprisoned in relationships that diminish them, and how radical communication—rooted in truth, compassion, and boundaries—becomes the key to wholeness. Darla explores nonviolent communication, the consequences of standing firm in your integrity, and what it really means to free yourself from abusive dynamics.
If you’ve ever been told you’re “too much” or felt pressured to stay quiet for the sake of peace, this episode will challenge you to step into your truth, no matter who it rattles.

What if the prison keeping you stuck… was built by you?
In this powerful opening episode of our new Radical Truth in Relationships series, I sit down with Sandra J. Valks—veteran financial advisor turned Confidence Coach and Queen of Compassionate Straight Talk—to explore how communication becomes a cage or a key.
From growing up silenced to mentoring prisoners and executives alike, Sandra shares her path through ancestral trauma, a brutal divorce, and her own dark night of the soul. We talk about finding your voice after being shut down, the masks we wear to survive, and why straight talk with compassion is the secret to reclaiming your power—whether you’re standing in a boardroom or behind prison walls.
This conversation expands as it goes—from leadership to lineage, from speaking up to breaking free.
We cover:
Whether you’re silencing yourself in a relationship, a workplace, or your own head, this episode is a truth mirror. And it just might crack something open.

Let’s get brutally honest: most men were never taught how to feel.
They were taught to perform. Provide. Power through. But not to feel.
In this unfiltered episode, Liz Beachy joins me for a raw conversation about how emotional suppression—especially in men—destroys connection and breeds dysfunction. We unpack why so many relationships fail not because of lack of love, but because of the lack of emotional safety.
Liz is a Resilience Coach and creator of the Emotional Resilience Accelerator, a program that helps high-performing men finally bridge the gap between external success and internal shutdown.
We dive deep into:
If you’ve ever loved someone who “looked strong” but couldn’t go there emotionally... or if you’re done shrinking to keep the peace, this one’s for you.

This solo episode of You Have the Power builds on my conversation with Katherine Kimball about raising standards in dating — and takes the next step: realizing that the most important relationship I can ever commit to is the one I have with myself.
After a recent breakthrough with my coach, I’ve come to see that my healing isn’t just about avoiding the wrong men. It’s about embracing being single on purpose, not from lack, but from power. I share how music, open mics, and learning to say no have become mirrors for my recovery, and how investing in myself is shifting everything — from my friendships to my sense of freedom.
If you’ve ever felt the sting of loneliness, second-guessed your boundaries, or wondered if being single means something is wrong with you, this episode is for you. It’s about choosing yourself first, listening to your body’s quiet “yes,” and discovering that wholeness isn’t found in someone else — it starts inside.

What if the life you were taught to want isn't the life you actually want?
For most of our lives, women are handed a script: Find the right man. Build a life together. Get married.…
But what happens when you stop looking?
Hosted by Darla Ridilla, You Have the Power is an unapologetic exploration of permanent singlehood, women's voices, freedom, connection, and what becomes possible when a woman stops building her life around whether a man shows up.
After three marriages, an abusive relationship, years of healing, and trying to date differently, Darla finally asked the question that blew the whole damn thing open:
Why am I dating at all?
Her answer was to choose permanent singlehood - on purpose.
This podcast explores what comes after that choice: the freedom, the grief, the conditioning, the friendships, the solitude, the creativity, the adventure, and the real connection that becomes possible when partnership is no longer the destination.
This isn't about convincing women to stop dating or get divorced.
It's about questioning the hell out of the rules we were handed.
Who told you marriage was the goal?
Who told you being single meant something was missing?
Who told you a woman needed romantic partnership to have intimacy, connection, security, or a full life?
And most importantly:
What do YOU actually want?
Because being single isn't a waiting room.
Your life is happening now.
And it already belongs to you.
