My guest today is Ashley Hetherington, who, at the age of only 21, is the author of “A Scoop of Honey,” in which she talks about her faith journey. She also has a blog rightfully called "The Honey Scoop," which she uses to connect with others about faith, as well as other struggles we are experiencing in our lives.
I really enjoyed reading Ashley’s book as she gives some great tools on how to go about exploring your faith, no matter what that may look like for you.
We touch on her own faith journey, why we think people turn to faith, the phrase spiritual but not religious, perfection keeps us from connection, finding community, and making space for faith. Our conversation takes an interesting turn as we talk about the stories we make up in our heads and how it relates to finding our significant other, as well as talk about the voice she is creating for herself with her blog.
