Doug Hughes and Jim Inman are in the studio again this week, continuing last week's conversation on financial matters for 30-to-50 year-olds.

Doug and Jim will also highlight an important topic - cybersecurity - and how people can protect themselves from hackers.

Summer is here - and people are grabbing books as they head for vacations or evenings on the patio. The guys will have some suggestions of books to check out... plus, Doug and Jim will share questions that every financial advisor likes to hear!

This week Doug and Jim will take a look at Space X Initial Public Offering (IPO) and why it's so newsworthy. They will also share what the differences are between a million, a billion and a trillion (bring a roll of pennies with you when listening).

Also, June is National Annuity Awareness Month, and Doug will talk about the different types of annuities, why they fit for some investors, common misconceptions about annuities and more.

Plus - if you're 30-50 years old, you may sometimes wonder "Is all this financial talk really important to me?" The answer is a strong "Yes," and Jim and Doug will offer a variety of reasons and considerations people under the age of 50 need to think about when planning for the future. 

It was announced this week that the already-expected Social Security shortfall has crept up - now to late 2032. The Wall Street Journal reported this week that "unless Congress shores up the retirement program, the depletion of reserves would trigger a 22% reduction in benefits in late 2032." David will be discussing what this means for retirees and future retirees and what Congress needs to do to fix the situation.

Also this week - as the Great Wealth Transfer begins (with Baby Boomers passing along their assets to children and grandchildren), many families are starting the gifting process ahead of schedule. David will discuss gift taxes and how to to properly manage the process.

Plus - last week's jobs reported the economy added 172,000 jobs in May - more than double what economists had expected. What does that mean for the "big picture?"
