Evening Meditation
Have you ever felt like your brokenness disqualifies you from being used by God? In tonight’s tender reflection, Rachel Wojo shares how our cracks and scars can become windows for God’s light to shine through.
Drawing from 2 Corinthians 4:7-9, Rachel writes:
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
She reminds us that while the world sees brokenness as a sign of failure, God sees it as an opportunity. In the same way that fragile clay pots held valuable treasures in Paul’s day, our cracked and chipped lives can display the beauty of God’s power and grace.
Rachel shares her own story of grieving after the loss of her daughter, and how God used her words—written through tears—to bring comfort to another hurting soul. Like light shining through a cracked pot, God’s love can pour through us most brightly in our weakest places.
This episode is a gentle invitation to release the lie that our pain and flaws disqualify us. Instead, they are the very places where God’s sustaining grace becomes most visible.

🙏 Your Nightly Prayer
Heavenly Father,
As I come to You at the end of this day, I’m aware of my brokenness. You see every crack, every chip, every place where I feel like I’m barely holding together.
I confess that sometimes I believe the lie that my brokenness makes me unusable, that my pain disqualifies me from Your purposes.
Lord, I surrender my broken places to You tonight. Use them to let Your light shine through. When others see how You’ve sustained me, may they be drawn not to my strength but to Yours.
When they witness how Your grace still pours through my life despite the cracks, may they thirst for the Living Water only You can provide.
As I rest tonight, repair what needs healing, but keep me ever mindful that some cracks remain precisely so Your light can shine more brightly through them.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🌙 Three Things to Meditate Upon Tonight
-
A Crack That Became a Window
Reflect on a weakness or failure in your life that God used for good—a struggle that gave you compassion, a mistake that taught you wisdom, or a loss that opened the door to deeper connection.
-
A “But Not” Moment
Think about a time when you felt hard pressed, perplexed, or struck down—yet you experienced God’s sustaining strength.
-
A Light Through Someone Else’s Cracks
Remember someone whose brokenness has encouraged and blessed you. Let that inspire you to trust that your story can do the same for someone else.
“The God who formed you from dust knows how to work with broken clay. Your cracks don’t limit Him—they’re where His power shines through.”
