When you're dysregulated, you have less access to your prefrontal cortex, the part of your brain responsible for clarity, compassion, nuanced thought, emotional regulation, and values-based decision making. Instead, your system shifts into survival mode, leading to reactivity, rigidity, or disconnection.
But when you’re regulated, you reconnect with the best qualities that make you who you truly are. You become more grounded, more present, and more able to live from wisdom, compassion, and care. 🌿
I’ll also guide you through one of my favorite gentle regulation practices, a tool you can return to again and again as you reconnect with your best self.
