《云南的夏夜》

A slender crescent moon hangs quietly above,

一弯新月静静悬在夜空之中，

casting down a soft, silver light.

把柔和的银光洒向大地。

The stars shine clearly in the open sky,

星辰在澄澈的夜空中熠熠生辉，

and the clouds drift slowly,

云朵缓缓漂浮，

like gentle thoughts passing through the night.

像夜色中轻轻掠过的思绪。

The breeze is cool,

晚风凉爽，

gently touching every inch of my skin.

轻柔地拂过我的肌肤，

Bringing with it a deep sense of ease.

带来一种深深的舒畅感。

The tree is crowned with delicate frangipani blossoms,

鸡蛋花开满枝头，像为树戴上了一顶柔美的花冠，

while white, fragrant blossoms lie scattered at our feet,

洁白清香的鸡蛋花，散落在脚边，

a quiet offering from the night.

仿佛是夜晚悄悄献上的礼物。

I pick one up, hold it close—

我拾起一朵，举到鼻前——

its sweet scent lifts the corners of my smile.

香气清甜，嘴角微微上扬。

Tall palms sway with a hush,

高大的棕榈树轻轻摇曳，

The banyan tree’s branches, lush and wide, unfold like a green umbrella, gathering all the stillness of the night.

榕树繁盛的枝叶像一把打开的绿伞，盛满了夜的沉静。

Every leaf breathes deeply in the night air,

每一片叶子都在夜风中深深地呼吸，

and the whole city slows down,

整座城市也慢了下来，

People stroll in the night,

人们在夜色中散步，

The streetlamps stretch our shadows thin.

街灯拉长了我们的影子。

In Yunnan, summer nights hold a profound enchantment—

云南的夏夜，总有一种沉醉的魔力——

as if spring’s breath still lingers，

仿佛春风未散，

as if the cosmos itself longs to stay awake,

仿佛宇宙也舍不得入睡。

And I go gentle into that good night，

我温和地走进那个良夜，

as if I’ve stepped into a tender poem.

像走进一首温柔的诗里。
