Tonglen is a Tibetan Buddhist meditation which focuses on taking on the pain of others and transforming it and returning it to them as love and compassion. It's commonly used as a practice for the sick and dying but can be used for anyone who is struggling.
This episode is dedicated in memory of my dad, David Winkler. Without you, I'd probably be a much less compassionate person. July 19, 1951 - September 19, 2017.
