On today's Zero Limits Podcast I chat with Krishna Thapa former British Gurkha and 22 SAS operator.

Krish grew up in mountains of Nepal, he applied to join the British Army's Royal Gurkha Rifles as a teenager and was successful. He spent 7 years in the Gurkhas before attempting SAS selection, becoming one of the first two Gurkhas to ever join the Regiment. 

Krish spent the next 17 years within the regiment rising to the rank of Warrant Officer. During that time he became the leader of mountain troop, training his fellow SAS soldiers and deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a world renowned mountaineer and has lead many record breaking expeditions.

On todays Zero Limits Podcast I chat with Patrick Hopkins former Royal Australian Army Medic.

Pat was born in the UK and migrating as a young kid with his family to Queensland.  Pat enlisted into catering corps as a cook in 1999 . Post training cycle he was then posted to 3RAR an infantry airborne unit. During this time the unit was deployed to East Timor in which shortly after arrive into the battalion Pat deployed to East Timor. After a couple of years in the role as a cook Pat decided to change corps and transferred into Medical corps becoming a medic. Once qualified he deployed to Timor Leste as a medic for infantry battalion 2RAR and soon after he was posted to 2nd Commando Regiment and deployed on SOTG 9 to Afghanistan.

 On today's  Zero Limits Podcast I am joined in the studio by Craig Hamburger former Australian Special Forces 2nd Commando Regiment operator.

Craig enlisted into the Defence Force 1999 into the infantry and after completing recruit and initial employment training he was posted to then 4RAR. During this period 4RAR at the time were transitioning into becoming a specific special forces unit in which Craig completed all training to become a qualified commando. He deployed on multiple occasions to East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan. During one of his deployments in Afghanistan he was awarded a Commendation for Gallantry which his citation reads "Corporal Hamburger’s gallantry in the face of heavy, accurate and sustained enemy fire ultimately ensured the safety of the other members of his team, and allowed them to regain the initiative, forcing the enemy to withdraw. His actions were of the highest order and in keeping with the finest traditions of the Australian special operations forces, the Australian Army and the Australian Defence Force.”

On today's Zero Limits Podcast I am joined in the studio for a chat by Deb Wallace by former Detective Superintendent 36 year NSW Police veteran. Deb joined the NSW Police in 1983 and quickly found herself gaining notoriety early in her career, when she was involved in the investigation into the murder of 26-year-old nurse Anita Cobby. From this she was invited to undertake Detective training which led to an extensive career commanding various specialist squads, including the South East Asian Crime Squad, Middle Eastern Organised Crime and Strike Force Raptor. In the 90s she was a detective at Cabramatta fighting Asian street gangs, including the infamous 5T, which have since vanished. She has headed the Middle Eastern Crime squad (MEOCS) which has been credited with the dismantling the vicious Brothers for Life gang responsible for dozens of shootings in Sydney and then moving into Raptor, set up in 2009 targeting OMCG which disrupts bikie business with heavy handed tactics.

On today's Zero Limits Podcast I have a chat with Jeff Casson former Australian Army Armoured Corps Cavalryman and Queensland Police Officer.

After being rejected on his first attempt to enlist into the defence force due to a previous knee injury after successful appeal Jeff enlisted into the Australian Defence Force in 2005 as a cavalryman within the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. After the completion of basic training and initial employment training at the school of armour he was posted to 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Darwin. During his posting at 2 cav he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and shortly after his Afghan deployment he posted to 3/4 cav in Townsville and again deployed to Afghanistan. In 2012 Jeff discharged from defence and decided to join the Queensland Police however during his police service Jeff's mental health declined where after a few years as a QPS officer he was involved in a incident where he was charged by the corruption and crime commission for theft in which the theft of 100 dollar was going to be used as a means to fund his suicide. On today’s Zero Limits Podcast I speak with Australian Army veteran Adam Kelly from the 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment. 

Adam enlisted into defence late 90s however on his first attempt after 14 weeks at Kapooka he was medically discharged. After finding legislation allowing him to try again he eventually successfully reenlisted and completed all training to be an infantry soldier. 

In previous podcasts with the “The Dentist” aka Karl Fabreschi and Kyle Wilson we spoke about an Afghanistan deployment which Adam was the sniper pair.  Get ready for another perspective of what happened on that deployment.

On todays Zero Limits Podcast I chat with "DAVE" former 3rd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and current forgein fighter with Chosen Company Ukraine.

Dave joned the Australian defence force joining as an infantry soldier posting to the 3rd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment. After dishchargin Dave headed to the Ukraine and enlisted to serve with the chosen company which is made up of foreign fighter assisting in the efforts against the russian invasion. However since recording the podcast Dasve was severely injured by a mortar.

On todays Zero Limits Podcast I chat with Arin Hanohano  former United States Marine Corps Crew chief and current US Police Officer.

Arin enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2009 aircrew contract and after completing the basic aircrew school he was selected to be a Huey crew chief. 

In 2012 Arin deployed to Afghanistan as a crew chief in the UH-1Y Super Huey. During his deployment the unit was tasked with supporting Task Force 66 (TF66) Australian Special Forces more specifically the 2nd Commando Regiment. On 30th August 2012 Arin’s helo were tasked with inserting a TF66 sniper team onto elevated terrain to provide overwatch for the assault force in the valley below. On approach the helo crashed during  a full brownout and rolled upon impact which ejected several pax. The two Australian Special Forces Snipers LCPL Mervyn Mcdonald and Pte Nathanael Gallagher were tragically killed during ht incident. Post military career Arin joined the Police Force in Alabama which is his current role.
