Julian continues the chat with Scott Nicholas, picking up from his time at Stanford and the differences to previous training while indulging some stories about middle distance runner Gabe Jennings. Scott talks about training for his debut marathon at Grandma’s Marathon in Minnesota and then solidifying his Olympic Trials Qualifier training for his second marathon with some hefty training runs, meeting Alberto Salazar and having his company out on the long runs. Scott explains how moving back to Australia happened and how Trevor Vincent convinced him to run for Glenhuntly, going into his coaching philosophy and how he made the transition into cycling. He gives insight into how his experience in running transferred to cycling and ultimately racing for 24 hours and winning the 2015 Single Speed World Championship. Scott closes the interview on his relationship with running today and his opinion on the state of athletics today.
