Carrin Gilmore, I am an Autistic Speducator, working in schools as an Educational Specialist. I work with parents, teachers, and staff writers and create accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities. I've worked with Kindergarteners to middle schoolers. I got my MA in Education with a specialization in 2020 from the University of the Pacific. I've worked with Autism Career Pathways, a nonprofit working to nerodiversify the workforce by empowering both the employee and employer, since 2019. I am proud to say I am the Secretary of the board of directors. I joined the non-profit when I learned that I am a rarity among Autistic adults because I have a career. I want to change that. I truly want to help others like myself gain meaningful employment, while still figuring out my own accommodations and modifications. My ultimate dream would be to help HR's better implement accommodations and modifications for nerodiverse peoples.
