We start by discussing what profiling really means, and then talk about why people often get it wrong.

Throughout the conversation we get into a number of areas including: temporary breaks with hope, reality, and perspective; operationalizing information, the statistics of extreme behavior, intent vs motive, negativity bias, confirmation bias and we even try to answer the general hard question of “Why would a person do that?”
