Did you know that rates of uterine cancer are rising?

Odds are that most listeners haven't heard this, which comes as no surprise considering this topic hasn't been covered nearly enough in popular medical news. So in this week's episode of the Vibrant Menopause Podcast, we're going to be covering everything that uterine-bearing folks should know in order to stay healthy, happy, and vibrant!

To help me out, I'm joined by my friend, colleague, business owner, and board-certified OBGYN, Dr. Cheruba Prabakar. Also known as The Fibroid Doc, she runs the LaMorinda Gynecology and Surgery Center in Lafayette, CA with the mission of providing longitudinal medical and surgical care, from menarche to menopause and beyond- in a personalized, accessible, and sustainable way.

In this episode, Dr. Prabakar and I take our time covering the most important questions surrounding uterine cancer, including:

  • What is uterine cancer?
  • What are the causes and risk factors of uterine cancer?
  • What are the types and symptoms of uterine cancer
  • How does uterine cancer show up in different demographics?
  • How is uterine cancer diagnosed and can it be detected early?
  • What are the treatment options?
  • Are there any preventative measures that people can take to promote uterine health?

It was a pleasure to have Dr. Prabakar on the podcast and I hope you all enjoy the conversation. If after listening you would like to learn more about Dr. Prabakar's work, you can find her at any of the following links below - she would be thrilled to hear from any of you!
