“For the last decade we have been in a very, very heavy makeup environment with lots and lots of products. It’s overwhelming. It can make you feel less than. It makes you feel like you can’t achieve something,” says celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles, founder of the shopping destination Reed Clarke. “I’m a bit punk rock in the fact that that sort of stuff drives me nuts. I don’t think it’s fair for women to have that extra burden of not only needing thousands of dollars worth of products, but needing to feel like they need to wear 20 products at a time.”
In this episode of Clean Beauty School, mindbodygreen beauty director and host Alexandra Engler chats with Stiles about how she helps her clients (who include Gabrielle Union and Lily Collins) look their most authentic, mastering a red lip, and how to adjust your makeup style as you age.
