Todays guest is Dr. Gertrude Lyons. She is on a mission to rewrite the Mother Code, and help women heal their motherwound and debunk the myths of motherhood.

She is a Master Life Coach and Relationship Expert with over 20 years of experience. Through her Rewriting The Mother Code initiative, which challenges the traditional notions of motherhood and womanhood she has become a national mothering revolutionary. She believes Dr. Lyon’s belief, all women have a “mother code” instilled in them—the current model for mothering in our culture is broken. It is limited, constricting, and disempowering. She questions preconceived beliefs and leans into topics that will tap into the powerful femininity within all of us.

In this episode we talk about the myths around motherhood, how our childhood and cultural experiences impact how we view motherhood and how moms can and should write their OWN mothercode.
