I’ve noticed a resistance to strategy in the online industry. A lot of people have a “story” that if they’re spending time creating a strategy, they’re foregoing time that could be better spent on “income producing activities”. The way I see it, strategy is like compound interest. When you invest today, you start creating a result which compounds over time. But that result doesn’t happen over time if you don’t invest NOW and the idea that taking the time to create and implement a strategy doesn't produce a result right now is a myth, likely promoted by people who have never actually tried to implement a strategy!
