This week, Sara and Jess interview artist Emily Shay about her work, "Rest in Me," an artistic depiction of Heavenly Mother with one of Her daughters, who rests her head in Her Mother's lap. Emily tells how she was inspired to create this work by the Black Lives Matter movement and the COVID-19 pandemic and the intense need for rest. She finds a unique sense of simultaneous gentleness and strength from Heavenly Mother and offers that feeling to viewers of this piece of artwork. She also teaches about how the doctrine of Heavenly Mother isn't new, but is a restoration of the ancient worship of the Heavenly Family. We discuss how knowing our Heavenly Mother fills in gaps in our worship and invites wholeness.
