Leanne Matullo is a yoga therapist who had HA about 6 years ago. She was on the pill for close to a decade and when she came off to start a family with her husband...she had a feeling it wasn't going to be that simple. And it wasn't. When western modalities didn't work for Leanne, she started to look inwards. She realized that there was some unaddressed stress deep inside that she needed to look at.
In this episode Leanne talks about how food rules, over-exercising and orthorexia were something that she needed to address like an addiction and not just a symptom that she could treat with a pill. We also talk about meditation and acupuncture and all of these things actually help! Then we talk about the role of yoga therapy, acupuncture, meditation, breath work and Ayurveda in recovering from HA. I hope that you get some clarity on whether or not eastern modalities are for you!
