The voice of cycling has worked hard to get to the top. 

He is humble, methodical, calm, driven and brilliant - he was also once quite the cyclist as he chased his dream to win the Tour de France, not commentate on it. 

When that didn't work out, he took his opportunities as a commentator and journalist and continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his expert cycling knowledge and engaging storytelling.
