  • Practice being authentic and showing up even when feeling resistant.
  • Give yourself permission to lower the bar and be good enough.
  • Stay open and curious about your feelings and experiences, without attaching meaning or creating stories.
  • Find your people and seek out connections with those who understand your experiences.
  • Be direct and speak your truth, even if it's scary or uncomfortable.
  • Prioritize tending to your lived experience and attending to others in a way that honors their experiences.
  • Value directness and authenticity in your interactions with others, even if it goes against societal norms of politeness.
  • Look for ways to center yourself and be authentic, even if it goes against how you were raised.

PODCAST HOST

Patricia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Coach. She knows what it's like to feel like an outcast, misfit, and truthteller. Learning about the trait of being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), and then learning she is neurodivergent helped Patricia rewrite her history with a deeper understanding, appreciation, and a sense of self-compassion. She created the podcast Unapologetically Sensitive to help other neurodivergents know that they aren't alone, and that having a brain that is wired differently can have some amazing gifts, and some challenges. Patricia works online globally working individually with therapists, and others, and she teaches Online Courses for HSPs that focus on understanding what it means to be an HSP, self-care, self-compassion, boundaries, perfectionism, mindfulness, communication, and creating a lifestyle that honors us.
