Today we are talking about a term called “duty to intervene.” Although this concept is typically discussed in a law enforcement setting it applies at a much larger scale than most people realize and applies in every social setting that you are in.
Rather than doing the typical “Monday Morning Quarterback” commentary that you see after a story or video hits the news, we chose to focus on the sociological and psychological reasons why humans are prone to “color outside the lines.” We also give some examples of how you can prevent inappropriate behavior by intervening sooner and applying legal precedent to the situation rather than a subjective interpretation of your organizations policies.
