Joe Carr is the Co-Founder and President of Serenity Kids. As half of the leading force behind Serenity Kids, the fastest growing baby food brand on the market, Carr is committed to creating the most premium, low sugar, high fat, organic, and ethically-sourced products he can in order to make a positive difference. Carr is autistic, but was misdiagnosed during his childhood with ADHD. He struggled with peers and teachers who didn’t know how to handle his big energy. His mom discovered his passion for the performing arts, and he channeled that energy into theatre and dance. He thrived there and soon became a professional child actor in Kansas City. Carr also suffered from a multitude of physical health problems and ingredient intolerances which lead to constant stomach pain, picky eating, obesity, anxiety, and insomnia. Because of his rough childhood, he decided to focus his efforts on making the world a better place for children. Joe and his wife, Serenity, launched Serenity Kids with only two products online, synchronistically the same day they welcomed their baby girl, Della, into the world. Carr is also a certified life coach and educator devoted to personal empowerment and social justice. As an autism activist and proponent of the Paleo diet, he serves on the Advisory Board for Autism Hope Alliance and the Autism Society of Texas, and works with other autistic adults and their families to help them harness their gifts and use food as medicine. He is also active with the ManKind Project helping men develop power with compassion.
