Five years ago this month the spirits industry lost a titan in master distiller Dave Pickerell, whose imprimatur is on such iconic brands as Maker's Mark, Blackened and WhistlePig among others. This episode features an interview Dan and his former "Drinky Fun Time" cohost Emma Patterson conducted with Dave at the 2017 Bourbon & Beyond Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Also, updates on Dan's dog Buna and his surgically repaired eye (known simply as "eye"), and a "Drinks of the Week" segment featuring syrups from HipStirs.
